Center Island Contracting renovated my home from a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom to a 4 bedroom, 3 full bathroom. It was a massive undertaking but it was successfully completed. My house is unrecognizable from the original structure. My friends and family are always impressed by the outcome. My financing was done through a construction loan and the team was patient and provided whatever documents were required for me to secure the loan. Have a conversation with Center Island to explore your options. It’s worth a try. I love my house!

I would gladly hire them again for a future construction project, and I can think of no higher compliment. For this project, they updated a bathroom and helped us add a new primary suite. Pictured is the updated bathroom. The job was finished on time with the permit, the work looks great, pricing was fair, and they stayed communicative and patient every step of the way.

Recently finished up a large renovation project where we added a new addition to our house which included a new primary bedroom and bathroom. Definitely satisfied with our choice of Center Island Contracting. From the initial quote all the way to the finishing of the project, everything was laid out in detail and done accordingly. Through out the entire process everyone at Center Island answered any questions we had and explained everything they did. Any issues that came up during the renovation was explained thoroughly with multiple options presented to us. I highly recommend them and will be using them for any future renovations.

We were told it would take about four weeks to gut renovate our existing bathroom, add a primary bath, and stain our floors. It took them five months. How did a four week job turn into a five month job?!? We had all of our selections picked out before the job started. We were ready to go. They kept making excuses (oh, no work the week of Thanksgiving and Christmas) okay, adding an extra two weeks to the timeline still doesn't explain how a "four week" job turned into a FIVE MONTH job!! (Hint: we'd watch on our doorbell camera, workers only showed up 1-2 days a week, so when you're only working on our house 1 day a week, of course it's going to take a lot longer). We moved out on 11/9/23 and moved back in the first week of March. Also, be careful with their "quote/proposal". A lot of our selections were left out of the proposal with the promise that we could add them in officially later on in the process, but surprise, adding our selections in later on = massive change orders. They were obviously keeping the proposal to the bare minimum to keep it as low as possible to get our business. The two stars I'm giving is because after five long months and doubling our budget, the final product was decently good, and we're happy with the final product.

We can't thank Center Island Contracting enough or the beautiful job they did renovating our home. Everyone who was part of the project was professional and thorough.
Evan listened to our ideas and made them even better with his vision and expertise.
John handling the architecture and making the permit process on our end effortless.
Bill, our project manager, patiently addressing all our questions and concerns, making sure everything got done as it should.
Caleb coming through in the clutch with the line voltage thermostat and flag pole lighting.
Louis, Louis, Myron (and his son), Chris, and the entire crew who put in all the hard work doing the build. Their skill is top-tier and the nicest people you will ever meet.
We are so happy we went with CIC for our project and would absolutely recommend them.

We did a first floor renovation that included our kitchen and built-in cabinetry around our fireplace. The quality of work is very good. There was not any major surprises or issues that came up during our process. We are extremely happy with how our kitchen and other cabinetry came in. Our project manager Bill was very responsive and quick to action any requests/questions or issues we were having. He was always a quick text or phone call away. I would definitely look at Central Island for future work.

This review is long overdue! CIC completed a major home renovation for our family over the course of ~6 months. The entire first floor of our -4000sqft home was gutted to the studs. We added a bathroom, removed walls, installed two steel beams, reworked a kitchen, and so much more. From the beginning, everyone at CIC was responsive, understanding, and above all proactive. It’s hard to see the big picture when you’re in the thick of it but Caleb is truly a mastermind behind the scenes. Every single day was, for the most part, orchestrated down to the most minute detail. There wasn’t a single day for literally months that there wasn’t a at least one CIC employee doing something to move the project along. A project of this size is stressful, there is no way around that but we knew at the end of the day this project would be done the right way. The guys at Center Island truly became family, the same crew showed up day after day. Big big shout out to Luis and Myron who were the kindest humans. We were so lucky to have them helping us. Honorable mention to Chris who brought the humor! We really loved all of the guys. My husband and I have recommended them to many of friends and would continue to do so. We are always happy to share our “success story” as so often you hear so many negative things. One other thing to note, our project spanned a time of economic instability. Prices were rising by the day and it was stressful worrying about what that would do to our project’s budget. Caleb and Evan were the utmost professionals walking us through this very difficult time, always leveling with us, always full disclosure, and always handled difficult conversations with tact. Thank you to CIC!

We recently completed a complete renovation of our entire first floor with Center Island. This work included a kitchen, bathroom, major structural work involving recessed steel beams, new floors windows and doors. We did our homework and interviewed several contractors before deciding on moving forward with Center Island. For us, it was a no brainer. Evan worked with us on the design and selections. The owner of the company was hands on and knew where our 7 month long project was at every phase. The team that came to the house…they showed up on time. They were all amazing to work with. As you can imagine renovating a home is stressful, but the Center Island team made it as smooth as possible. They set expectations. They listened and responded to our feedback and made things happen. We love the results. It was a long road to get the project done due to the scope, but I would select Center Island again. The main difference is that they are a company and not a crew in a work truck. They show up on time and do great work. They have actual plumbers, carpenters and electricians. They partner with really good subs (HVAC, counter tops , painters) who all seem to share the owner, Caleb, sense of attention to detail, client service and expertise.

CIC worked on my renovation project which included whole 1st floor of my house. They were very professional, accommodating and well organized throughout the project. Their recommendations were on target and honest. Mike, Myro and all of installation team as well as their office team did a great job. Caleb himself showed at my house to discussed the project around the fire place that I had contracted with CIC and he recommended me not to pursue the project in the scope and design I wanted it, which I think was very honest when you considering that he was helping me avoid some mistakes and save money during the project and this says a lot about him and the company he leads.

The best of the best! We used CENTER ISLAND CONTRACTING for a complete whole house renovation in 2019 and the results are fabulous. The project was extensive and renovated the house to the studs. Caleb Haniquet and Evan Lewitas and their team took care of everything. They have been attentive to all of our wishes for our home and I have recommended them to friends and colleagues.

All I can say is WOW!!!! I was very skeptical looking for a contractor online. I had just purchased a new home and was interested in doing an entire home renovation . The internet can be very tricky especially when it comes to pictures as well as reviews . As far as Center Island Contracting and Owner Caleb Haniquet what you see on his website is the exact attention to detail and work at my new home. Caleb has great vision and an eye on how to design a house and not just your basic kitchens and bathrooms , i'm talking about every room in the home down to the paint colors. What I like most about doing this project as it was not my first is the fact that attached to Center Island Contractiing headquarters is Distinctive Designs This is a one stop shop for all your kitchen cabinets, wood floor, stone etc etc. It makes it so much easier than going from store to store. I would highly recommend CIC and Caleb to anyone who is doing any kind of renovation in their home. This is definitely not your Home Depot construction company that I can say so if you're looking for great product as well as when someone walks into your home and they say OH MY GOD... Then go with CIC as they're second to none...
