My house is unrecognizable from the original structure. My friends and family are always impressed by the outcome. My financing was done through a construction loan and the team was patient and provided whatever documents were required for me to secure the loan. Definitely satisfied with our choice of Center Island Contracting. From the initial quote all the way to the finishing of the project, everything was laid out in detail and done accordingly. Through out the entire process everyone at Center Island answered any questions we had and explained everything they did. Any issues that came up during the renovation was explained thoroughly with multiple options presented to us. I highly recommend them and will be using them for any future renovations.

z910 days agoProject type: Addition First time doing something that big to the house, don't very know what I get myself into, but lucky we found CIC. Overall the whole process was smooth and they competed everything we wanted/asked for. There are some minor hiccup here there during the built but they handle it well and address any problem professionally. Have no communicate problem, always respond our calls and questions even during holiday. Huge thank to CIC.
Angela C980 days agoAfter reaching out to different contractors to complete a dormer/first floor renovation to our home, we came across Center Island after seeing a project being done in a neighboring town. CIC did a beautiful job putting up our dormer. We were very happy with how quickly the dormer came about and how respectful the team was to our neighbors. They kept the neighboring properties on both sides of our home clean and undisturbed. CIC made it easy to design our home and make decisions, especially with having an architect and designer on staff. We have been very happy with quality of work they have completed so far. Evan listened to our ideas and made them even better with his vision and expertise. John handling the architecture and making the permit process on our end effortless. Bill, our project manager, patiently addressing all our questions and concerns, making sure everything got done as it should. Caleb coming through in the clutch with the line voltage thermostat and flag pole lighting. Louis, Louis, Myron (and his son), Chris, and the entire crew who put in all the hard work doing the build. Alex Tullao1125 days agoDuring COVID, me and my wife thought of having a nice master bedroom addition(with en-suite ) and walk -in closet that looks and feel like a nice hotel (since you can’t travel at that time). Center Island Contracting made that happen for us. We are very happy with what they did to our house. I get compliments from everyone (even strangers) that pass by our house (we had the exterior of the house renovated as well). Also, you can trust all the employees that they will send to your house. All of them are really nice and respectful. Special mention to Billy (construction manager), he helped us a lot go through the process from start to finish. Special thanks also to the bosses (Caleb and Evan) , thanks for the great job.

The kitchen along with our fireplace/built-ins came out looking fantastic. I would definitely recommend Central Island to friends and family for other jobs. As well as anything I do in the future.

There was not any major surprises or issues that came up during our process. We are extremely happy with how our kitchen and other cabinetry came in. Our project manager Bill was very responsive and quick to action any requests/questions or issues we were having. He was always a quick text or phone call away. I would definitely look at Central Island for future work.

The contractors kept the space as clean as possible, which was much appreciated while we were living through part of the renovations. Center Island Contracting did a dormer with a master suite (bedroom, bathroom, walk in closet), renovated an existing bathroom, resided and reroofed our home and added a fireplace. Their attention to detail, eye for design, and support is what sets them apart from other contractors in the area. The process moved along quickly. We couldn’t be happier with the outcome of our home and would use Center Island Contracting in a heartbeat again.

Their recommendations were on target and honest. Mike, Myro and all of installation team as well as their office team did a great job. Caleb himself showed at my house to discussed the project around the fire place that I had contracted with CIC and he recommended me not to pursue the project in the scope and design I wanted it, which I think was very honest when you considering that he was helping me avoid some mistakes and save money during the project and this says a lot about him and the company he leads.

From beginning to end the process was easy and seamless. We were constantly kept in the loop and our new bathroom came out amazing! Would love to use them again on future projects!

We had our kitchen remodeled by CIC as well as decking installed and created a mudroom. Overall very satisfied with the work they completed. We were told by several folks undergoing construction that nothing gets finished on time but despite the current situation with covid and lack of supplies etc, our project lasted 16-20 weeks which is the exact timeline we had been given at the very beginning. The craftsmanship of the work in the kitchen installation is apparent and appreciated. As with any project there were a few bumps in the road but we always worked towards a feasible solution. I do wish there were less change order along the way but probably an unavoildable circumstance of renovating an older home. You are kept informed of the schedule and stages of the project, the project manager and office manager are both very responsive and easy to get in touch with via phone, text, and email as well as through the use of an app to keep track of changes.

Evan and Caleb came up with some really great ideas that improved the layout and flow of our home. The day to day workers at CIC were a pleasure to be around and very hard-working. Overall, our project came out beautiful. Our kitchen is spectacular and we are in love with the millwork done on our walls as well as the fireplace mantle. Construction is definitely a roller coaster but we are extremely pleased with the end result.

The first job was to move a sliding back door from one side of the house to the other and to install an additional sliding back door on another level of the home. Center Island Contracting did a phenomenal job with the work. They were courteous, professional, and neat. The final result was outstanding - I could not be happier. The second job was replacing an existing bay window (containing 5 almost floor to ceiling windows in the bay) and installing a new front door and side light. Choosing Center Island Contracting to renovate our basement was the best decision we made. Caleb took our vision and original plans and made it even better. Our project manager Orlando was professional, knowledgeable and had an outstanding work quality. With any project you always hit a bump in the road (you never know what you will find when you completely gut a basement) but Orlando quickly came up with suggestions and made sure we were completely satisfied. We were only 80% done with our basement when we signed onto have our second floor bathroom renovated. The work they did in the bathroom was outstanding.
