I have dealt with Evan for a few years now. What a pleasure it is dealing with such a professional. Always explains in full detail all that work being done and when it will be completed. Such a pleasure dealing with Center Island Contracting.

Center Island Contracting did an excellent job renovating our bathroom. They were professional, easy to work with, and communicated clearly throughout the entire renovation. The quality of the craftsmanship and attention to detail really stood out, and the final result came out great. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable contractor for home renovations.

Top-notch contractor and GC in Suffolk and Nassau County. We had a truly fantastic experience with the entire team from start to finish. Caleb was incredibly accessible, and his entire staff was always responsive, professional, and easy to communicate with.

The finished product was well beyond our expectations—the quality and attention to detail really stood out. Pricing was fair and reasonable, the process was smooth, and working with them was an absolute pleasure.

Highly recommend without hesitation.

We engaged with CIC to build a 1450 sqft extension with a full bathroom and a wet bar.
Evan was our 1st point of contact and stayed highly engaged throughout the process.
The technicians that came to perform the construction from start to finish were professional and friendly.

If your looking for a company that will confidently build whatever you need - this is it.

Ask for Evan , he is very helpful and knowledgeable

Center Island Contracting renovated my home from a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom to a 4 bedroom, 3 full bathroom. It was a massive undertaking but it was successfully completed. My house is unrecognizable from the original structure. My friends and family are always impressed by the outcome. My financing was done through a construction loan and the team was patient and provided whatever documents were required for me to secure the loan. Have a conversation with Center Island to explore your options. It’s worth a try. I love my house!

So thankful for Center Island contracting, our new kitchen design and build was more than we could have ever expected it to be!! Not only did they design it perfectly for our space but their team was so nice and were so neat and paid so much attention to detail with everything they did. This new kitchen design has changed our whole house. Thank you!!

I would gladly hire them again for a future construction project, and I can think of no higher compliment. For this project, they updated a bathroom and helped us add a new primary suite. Pictured is the updated bathroom. The job was finished on time with the permit, the work looks great, pricing was fair, and they stayed communicative and patient every step of the way.

Recently finished up a large renovation project where we added a new addition to our house which included a new primary bedroom and bathroom. Definitely satisfied with our choice of Center Island Contracting. From the initial quote all the way to the finishing of the project, everything was laid out in detail and done accordingly. Through out the entire process everyone at Center Island answered any questions we had and explained everything they did. Any issues that came up during the renovation was explained thoroughly with multiple options presented to us. I highly recommend them and will be using them for any future renovations.

We recently completed a nearly full remodel of our new home with Center Island Contracting, and we are absolutely thrilled with the results. Caleb, Evan, Bill, Myron, Raquel, Alicia, and every other team member were a pleasure to work with, and it was clear that our project was so much more than a job to them. In addition, the recommendations that they gave us for appliances, HVAC, closet customization, and painting exceeded our expectations for both pricing and job quality.

We worked with several reputable companies while renovating our previous home, but I would unhesitatingly recommend CIC over all of them. It has been almost 3 months since we moved in, and we are still amazed at how precisely and impeccably CIC converted a vision in our minds into our dream home.

Nothing could have ever prepared me for the overwhelming process of completing a full home renovation but with the team at Center Island, they guided me every step of the way! Despite the exhausting list of frustrations related to any construction project, Center Island did their very best with making the process as seamless as possible. Center Island is absolutely a one stop shop for all of your construction needs especially their great design center to assist you with all your design needs. Working with Evan and Bill was a pleasure, as they always addressed my questions and concerns promptly. Even during the times when I was not the most patient client, Evan and Bill always remained professional and committed to achieving the desired outcome. Most all of all, I could not be happier with the outcome of my beautiful home! I am forever grateful for Center Island making my dream house become a reality.

Project type: Addition

First time doing something that big to the house, don't very know what I get myself into, but lucky we found CIC.
Overall the whole process was smooth and they competed everything we wanted/asked for. There are some minor hiccup here there during the built but they handle it well and address any problem professionally. Have no communicate problem, always respond our calls and questions even during holiday. Huge thank to CIC.

After reaching out to different contractors to complete a dormer/first floor renovation to our home, we came across Center Island after seeing a project being done in a neighboring town. CIC did a beautiful job putting up our dormer. We were very happy with how quickly the dormer came about and how respectful the team was to our neighbors. They kept the neighboring properties on both sides of our home clean and undisturbed. CIC made it easy to design our home and make decisions, especially with having an architect and designer on staff. We have been very happy with quality of work they have completed so far. Anyone who comes into our home cannot stop talking about how beautiful it is. We are looking forward to the project being finished soon and having the home we always dreamed of! Thank you CIC

We can't thank Center Island Contracting enough or the beautiful job they did renovating our home. Everyone who was part of the project was professional and thorough.
Evan listened to our ideas and made them even better with his vision and expertise.
John handling the architecture and making the permit process on our end effortless.
Bill, our project manager, patiently addressing all our questions and concerns, making sure everything got done as it should.
Caleb coming through in the clutch with the line voltage thermostat and flag pole lighting.
Louis, Louis, Myron (and his son), Chris, and the entire crew who put in all the hard work doing the build. Their skill is top-tier and the nicest people you will ever meet.
We are so happy we went with CIC for our project and would absolutely recommend them.

Bill (their project manager)has positioned our job to be the best quality craftsmanship we could ask for & made us thrilled to work with them for one of the most important decisions people can make in their lives. Improving our livelihood is an understatement! Many thanks to the entire team @ CIC.

During COVID, me and my wife thought of having a nice master bedroom addition(with en-suite ) and walk -in closet that looks and feel like a nice hotel (since you can’t travel at that time).
Center Island Contracting made that happen for us. We are very happy with what they did to our house. I get compliments from everyone (even strangers) that pass by our house (we had the exterior of the house renovated as well).
Also, you can trust all the employees that they will send to your house. All of them are really nice and respectful. Special mention to Billy (construction manager), he helped us a lot go through the process from start to finish.
Special thanks also to the bosses (Caleb and Evan) , thanks for the great job.

Was very happy with the quality of work that we ended up with. We did a first floor demo including gutting our kitchen. The kitchen along with our fireplace/built-ins came out looking fantastic.

I would definitely recommend Central Island to friends and family for other jobs. As well as anything I do in the future.

We did a first floor renovation that included our kitchen and built-in cabinetry around our fireplace. The quality of work is very good. There was not any major surprises or issues that came up during our process. We are extremely happy with how our kitchen and other cabinetry came in. Our project manager Bill was very responsive and quick to action any requests/questions or issues we were having. He was always a quick text or phone call away. I would definitely look at Central Island for future work.

Working with Center Island Contracting was a great experience. Throughout the entire process there was open communication. The contractors kept the space as clean as possible, which was much appreciated while we were living through part of the renovations. Center Island Contracting did a dormer with a master suite (bedroom, bathroom, walk in closet), renovated an existing bathroom, resided and reroofed our home and added a fireplace. Their attention to detail, eye for design, and support is what sets them apart from other contractors in the area. The process moved along quickly. We couldn’t be happier with the outcome of our home and would use Center Island Contracting in a heartbeat again.

CIC worked on my renovation project which included whole 1st floor of my house. They were very professional, accommodating and well organized throughout the project. Their recommendations were on target and honest. Mike, Myro and all of installation team as well as their office team did a great job. Caleb himself showed at my house to discussed the project around the fire place that I had contracted with CIC and he recommended me not to pursue the project in the scope and design I wanted it, which I think was very honest when you considering that he was helping me avoid some mistakes and save money during the project and this says a lot about him and the company he leads.

We had our kitchen remodeled by CIC as well as decking installed and created a mudroom. Overall very satisfied with the work they completed. We were told by several folks undergoing construction that nothing gets finished on time but despite the current situation with covid and lack of supplies etc, our project lasted 16-20 weeks which is the exact timeline we had been given at the very beginning. The craftsmanship of the work in the kitchen installation is apparent and appreciated. As with any project there were a few bumps in the road but we always worked towards a feasible solution. I do wish there were less change order along the way but probably an unavoildable circumstance of renovating an older home. You are kept informed of the schedule and stages of the project, the project manager and office manager are both very responsive and easy to get in touch with via phone, text, and email as well as through the use of an app to keep track of changes.

My husband and I used Center Island Contracting for a first floor renovation of our home. This project included a kitchen, living room with a fireplace, and a bathroom. Evan and Caleb came up with some really great ideas that improved the layout and flow of our home. The day to day workers at CIC were a pleasure to be around and very hard-working. Overall, our project came out beautiful. Our kitchen is spectacular and we are in love with the millwork done on our walls as well as the fireplace mantle. Construction is definitely a roller coaster but we are extremely pleased with the end result.

The best of the best! We used CENTER ISLAND CONTRACTING for a complete whole house renovation in 2019 and the results are fabulous. The project was extensive and renovated the house to the studs. Caleb Haniquet and Evan Lewitas and their team took care of everything. They have been attentive to all of our wishes for our home and I have recommended them to friends and colleagues.

We chose to work with CIC on the remodeling of our house in Dix Hills and it didn't disappoint us. For a 1-year job the project management made by Caleb and Evan is extraordinary, Caleb has been very transparent on the condition of the house, pricing and the progress of the entire project. His crew is also highly capable of the job. Home renovation can be very costly and frustrating, so we are quite lucky to work with CIC.

Central Island Contracting has done several jobs in my home. The first job was to move a sliding back door from one side of the house to the other and to install an additional sliding back door on another level of the home. Center Island Contracting did a phenomenal job with the work. They were courteous, professional, and neat. The final result was outstanding - I could not be happier. The second job was replacing an existing bay window (containing 5 almost floor to ceiling windows in the bay) and installing a new front door and side light. Again, I could not be happier with the work from Center Island Contracting. I will certainly be hiring Center Island Contracting to do future work in my home.

From our initial meeting with Caleb where we expressed ALL of our ideas and some of our concerns to watching the work unfold and come to life, we were continuously impressed with the level of professionalism and dedication to detail he and his crew had. Calebs knowledge and expertise were unparralleled, as was the quality, we couldn't possibly be happier.

After a long time speaking with Caleb i chose Center Island to complete a whole house renovation. They took their time explaining every step of the project to me along the way. I had several ideas that they made come to reality. It has been a long process but well worth the wait. I am VERY HAPPY and pleased with the quality of work they completed. It has been a pleasure working with Orlando and Caleb. I'm sure I will be using them again.

If you are looking for a construction company look no further. Choosing Center Island Contracting to renovate our basement was the best decision we made. Caleb took our vision and original plans and made it even better. Our project manager Orlando was professional, knowledgeable and had an outstanding work quality. With any project you always hit a bump in the road (you never know what you will find when you completely gut a basement) but Orlando quickly came up with suggestions and made sure we were completely satisfied. We were only 80% done with our basement when we signed onto have our second floor bathroom renovated. The work they did in the bathroom was outstanding. Orlando once again delivered a wonderful finished product. We look forward to working with them again in the near future!

Great experience working with the entire professional team from Center Island Contracting Inc. They turned my basement into a modern living space. Perfect painting and wood floor jobs for the house. Project manager, Orlando, has been personally involved in designing the remodel drawing; selecting bath rooms tiles, counter tops and fixtures, etc. Now i have a ranch with 2 floors of living space. Even my kids (20's) & relatives loved the finished product.

The company and the workers are FIRST CLASS all the way. They built my garage in no time. Caleb the owner is an amazing guy to work with, gives you all different ideas to what he thinks is the best way to do it. And in my own words you cant ask for a better company to have do your projects.

Center Island has been an excellent partner for us, and continues to provide an incredible service for both us and our clients. Center Island is one of the only contractors on Long Island that we can truly trust to perform high quality work consistently. We highly recommend them to all of our clients and love the trade partnership we have with them! We hope for continued success through 2017 and beyond in this partnership. In terms of a contractor there is no better option than center island.

Caleb has a great eye for design. My project started out with some bumps in the road but he was able to maneuver around every problem and come up with excellent solutions. My family could not be happier with our backyard and landscaping. It's like going to a resort every time we step outside.

We recently completed a total home transformation with Center Island Contracting and are thrilled with the outcome. We were previously a one-story house with an interior/exterior that mostly hadn’t been updated for a long time. Through CIC, we added a second story to move 3 bedrooms up there, added 2 bathrooms (master/hallway) on that level, made our first floor entirely open concept, have a new modern kitchen, floors, windows, doors, siding/roof, and front porch. Our “new” home feels welcoming, bright and airy – with the end result exactly what we were looking for.

I hired Center Island Contracting via a positive recommendation from my friend and I must say that I had a great experience! I had my siding re-done from cedar wood shingles to hardy board shingles and my house looks amazing. When I first consulted with Caleb he provided me with various options and I'm happy I went with his recommendations..The team was very professional and worked very diligently to get the work completed while keeping everything cleaned by the time they left for the day. Caleb and his team are first in class as compared to other contractors. I was kept informed of the status of the job and they answered all my questions quickly and was very thorough. I would highly recommend them and use them again when a big job is needed at my house. I love how my house looks now! Thank you Caleb and team for your focus and dedication to a job well done!

We hired Center Island Contracting to renovate our 100 year old home. Like most renovations you never know what you are working with until you open up those walls! Once we had a blank slate Caleb provided great design ideas and suggestions for improvement he had very good insight into design and functionality that we were looking for. His team was professional and courteous, as well as patient and clean! We are absolutely thrilled with the end result.

We had an excellent experience using Center Island Contracting. We recently did the entire exterior of our home (front door/siding/portico/front walk/porch/driveway etc..plus installed all new windows with moldings. Caleb (owner) and all of the staff were respectful, friendly and professional. Our house looks amazing!! I want to also add that it was important to me that they begin work and end the day at specific times as I have a special needs child who has anxiety and would be sensitive to loud noises. It was never an issue. I truly feel that not all contractors would accommodate you in that way. We look forward to using Center Island Contracting again in the near future for our kitchen and interior of our home.

Caleb and team did a fantastic job with our renovations. They were knowledgeable, skilled, professional and patient. We think Caleb is a great resource for design and build ideas that are catered to the specific client in terms of budget, style, function, etc. In our case, we did not feel the need to hire a separate designer as Caleb was such a great source of information. We don't believe there is a renovation project that goes smoothly from start to finish, and ours was no exception. However, we think it is even more important that all issues are addressed in a timely manner and there is an open line of communication, which was the case with Caleb. He never failed to reply to the hundreds of emails of questions we had throughout the entire process. We would recommend Center Island Contracting with no reservations. Our guests never fail to compliment the quality of the work. They have already been hired for our next project!

Caleb and his crew did a phenomenal job in remodeling our home. From beautiful bathrooms, millwork, painting, wood floor installation/refinishing to air conditioning, electrical upgrades and plumbing--their work exhibits fine craftsmanship and a painstaking attention to detail. We were comfortable with the timetable/budget and blown away by their consummate professionalism. The wealth of knowledge, experience and caring they possess is so evident in their work. We enjoyed a terrific relationship with the entire crew at Center Island and wouldn't hesitate in using them again.

Caleb and his crew were a pleasure to work with. Not only did they renovate a beautiful home, but they were professional on the job and provided honest feedback on all facets of the decisions made throughout the process. We were able to collaborate on many aspects of the home, from designs through selections of granite/cabinets etc. through accessories. They were a top rated company to work with.

Center Island Contractors installed my staircase and it is beautiful. They suggested many ideas which added to the beauty of the entrance way. They were always very polite and very respectful of my property. If ever there was a problem, they were there to answer my questions and replied immediately to my emails and phone calls. I strongly recommend using Center Island Contractors for home improvements as I will use them for future jobs.

We hired CIC for our home remodel, including the kitchen, two bathrooms, walk in closet, and a laundry room. The attention to detail, workmanship, level of expertise, and helpfulness made a huge stressful project become seamless. We would recommend working with Caleb at CIC and would definitely hire them again for all our future projects.

Center Island far and away exceeded our expectations. Our custom built-ins are not only functional but incredible as well. People cannot get over how beautiful they are and how perfectly they work in each room. Caleb has an extraordinary eye for design and his designs fit flawlessly into our home. We've already recommended Center Island to family and friends. The next time we need work done, there is no one else we would even dream of asking besides Center Island.

We recently bought a 20-year old home that needed some work. We hired CICI to install HVAC, paint the entire interior of the home, widen and install an asphalt driveway, as well as a few other things. They did excellent work and we are very pleased. Caleb helped us make decisions about what we should or should not do. We were very confident that his years of experience would help guide us in our decision making. The crew was very respectful and took a lot of care and pride in their work. We have more work to do so we will look to hire CICI in the future!

I hired Center Island Contracting to install new bay windows, front exterior door, and a fire rated garage entrance door. I couldn’t be happier with how everything looks and even more so with the professionalism of the crew that did the work. They showed up on time and finished in the time frame that was estimated. My house was cleaned up after the job was done and the work is finished exactly as expected. I highly recommend Center Island Contracting and will certainly be using them for future work.

We used Center Island Contracting for a major exterior remodeling job. We could not be more pleased with the final result!! From start to finish, Caleb and his team pay attention to every detail. Caleb is truly amazing in the design process. He has a tremendous knowledge of all types of building materials, and communicates and demonstrates the pros and cons of each type until you are satisfied with your final selection. He assures that all of the fine details of a particular job blend properly, yiedling an amazing final product. He keeps you informed every step of the way with nightly e mails that describe the daily progress and upcoming steps, which is very helpful. The workmanship is top notch and second to none. The job site is kept very clean, and the crew is very respectful and pleasant throughout the process.

My wife and I finally managed to get the opportunity to build our dream kitchen, We didn't shop out the job, we went straight to Center Island as they have previously performed 2 major jobs for us, and we have been 100% satisfied with they work they did previously. We have used them previously to build our family room extension, and then build our patio and deck. Once again, they delivered!!! Caleb was involved our design decisions from the very start and his eye for detail and his experience on what works and what doesn't work proved invaluable. His team are a very hard working, clean, respectful team and they treated our house as though it were their's. Our kitchen turned out exactly the way we wanted it, and I would have no hesitation in recommending Center Island Contracting to anyone. Norm and Denise

They did high quality work and we were very happy with the way everything turned out. Caleb & his guys were all professional, respectful and neat. I would comfortably recommend CICI to friends & family. I intend to use them for additional future work.

CIC remodeled our bathroom and kitchen. They did some very intricate work to put shadow boxes into the bathroom to create the appearance of wainscoting. In the kitchen they worked with some very high-end appliances. In both cases, everyone who came into my home was trustworthy and professional. They used great care in installing all the finishes and in handling the appliances in both the bathroom and kitchen.

CIC converted our garage to be part of an apartment we built in the lower half of our house. A kitchen, bedroom, pantry and 3 closets were created in what was the garage. CIC also expanded the downstairs 1/2 bathroom into a full bathroom (complete with handicap accessibility). They also updated our electric and installed a larger hot water heater. He and his team were friendly, on time, always in contact and very respectful of our home. My 4 year old son still asks for Caleb and the guys.....and our construction was completed over a year ago!!

LOVE working with this company and the owner, Caleb Haniquet. He is very thorough, no surprises, detailed estimates include things I hadn't thought of, and very creative designs. Caleb is also excellent at choosing colors that work well together, and I greatly appreciated that as it could take me months and a great deal of anxiety choosing colors to complete any project! Center Island Contracting stuck to the budget we set, and worked tirelessly to meet projected completion dates. I am embarking on a major renovation to my home in the nesxt 2 months and am looking forward to working with Center Island again. Knowing that I can trust them to do great work lessens the stress that accompanies any home improvement!

This is my second project with Center Island. The first project was to redo my kitchen, which is we enjoyed everyday. When time came to expand our living area, we turned to Center Island Again. We had an Architect and a vision but when we sat down to discuss our design, Center Islands Vision once again opened our eye to a design we never imagined. They were patient and accomodating to all of our constant changes and always went above and beyond. The results were amazing, extremely open floor plan to accommodateour families needs, awsome trim work and love those built ins. We love our home and can’t thank them enough for providing such great craftsman ship for our family to enjoy.

Center Island is a professional company that delivers what it promises. My husband and I contracted them for a large project in 2010 which was completed in a timely manner, on budget, and done very well. Caleb was available every step of the way to answer questions and solve any problems that arose. The staff who worked on our project were friendly, knowledgeable, and cleaned up when they left for the day. We will definitely call Center Island for any future projects.

I have used Caleb for several projects over the years. Several at my home and my business as well. His attention to detail and creative ideas always made me feel very comfortable with him. He was always very aware of my budget and worked very hard to meet that budget while not sacraficing quality. He is a big supporter of doing things the right way, which i can appreciate. He is one the few people i have delt with that has such a vast knowledge of all aspects of a project, from framing, to lighting, to landscaping and even paint colors to enhance the finished product. I would highly recommend Caleb for your next project.

We have used Caleb of Center Island Con. for some pretty large construction projects on our home. The work was complete and the workers were always on time and cleaned up each day before they left. The price was good and stayed the same when the job was finished unless we change anything, and even then Caleb worked with us. We recently had Center Island back to our home for an estimate on another large job and are confident it wil be as smooth as the last time..
